Hello everyone!

Here's the first post by The Croo', we're currently a team of 2 to 3 people working on this as a side project :) 

You will find here news about the features, the implementation and the global maintenance of the site.
We are currently releasing our website on small Heroku servers to test the entire system and find the ways for us to optimize the code better so it serves faster and in a more reliable fashion.



WHAT IS ALMANOOK ?

Almanook.me is heavily inspired by the work done on moridb and nookipedia, our goal is to provide ANCH players with a simple yet powerful way to keep track of tasks and plan ahead their in game experience as well as facilitating some social interactions that usually occur on the discords/subreddits/nintendo chats.

We will keep adding features as the site evolves and we would very much like to hear from you
for any feature that you think would be a nice addition for ANCH players.


WHAT CAN I DO ON ALMANOOK?

Our MVP so far contains the follwing features:

- Entire database of items / bugs / fish / fossils / nature / islanders as well as the ways to get all this inside the game, how much they cost, their collection, and more.
We will update these informations as they get identified as being wrong/incomplete or missing. Please help us keeping the database up to date by declaring any issue of this type via the form Report a bug.

- The ability for players to create an account, to set up their island (Native fruit/Native Flower/Hemisphere/Friend code/Discord ID) and to share this My Island page with other players.
In this page, the player can:

• Add/Edit/Delete items to custom catalogs
• Showcase items that he/she is selling and set a price for them, 
• Show the islanders that already moved to your island and possiblity to mark them as about to leave
• Add islanders that you would like to have in your island

We plan on adding/improving features as people use the site and request them.

The next post will be a tiny bit more technical for people that are interested.

If you feel like you can help us, we're looking for ideas, python devs, flask devs, database architects, illustrators, UI and UX designers, front and back end devs.
